Experience: Bachelor of Science degree or a minimum of five years experience in sheet metal fabrication.
Responsibilities: Responsible to the Vice President of Operations for:
- Promoting quality achievement and performance improvement throughout the company.
- Directing and disciplining Quality Assurance personnel.
- Recognizing problems with all processes and initiating solutions.
- Maintaining ISO 9001-2015 certification.
- Initiating preventative and corrective actions to correct current and subsequent issues.
Typical Duties
- Oversee the quality program assuring conformity of purchased material and final products to quality standards.
- Meet with vendors, customers, quality representatives, and company personnel to discuss and resolve quality problems as required.
- Prepare and represent the company during all ISO and related audits.
- Coordinate the approval of all sample submissions of new products and engineering changes.
- Prepare all necessary reports as required by customers and staff personnel.
- Provide training to company personnel as required.
- Promptly respond to all phone messages and emails in a timely manner.
Expected Performance
- Must be able to travel to accommodate customer needs with short notice.
- Must be able to work together with all fellow employees.
- Must be punctual and flexible with ability to cover needed overtime on short notice.
- Understand and follow applicable company record keeping and quality procedures.
- Maintain an acceptable rapport with all customers and their employees.
Training Requirements
- GII Safety Program and other company related training.
- Any training required to keep ISO certification up to date.
- Training on any and all quality measuring tools and machinery.
